A refined retreat where Japanese modernism meets the raw calm of Ubud’s landscape.
Semana Villa is a 3-unit development positioned along the edge of rice fields and the traditional subak system, embracing uninterrupted green vistas and the quiet rhythm of nature. The design introduces a Japanese modern architectural language into the tropical forest context, defined by low-pitched roofs, extended eaves, natural timber elements, and clean horizontal lines.
Each villa is oriented to maximize views while maintaining privacy, with a strong indoor-outdoor relationship that dissolves boundaries between built space and landscape. The material palette remains restrained and grounded, allowing the surrounding greenery to become the primary visual feature.
The result is a tranquil hospitality product that balances contemporary clarity with cultural sensitivity, crafted for guests seeking stillness, atmosphere, and connection to place.
